Host a boutique retreat experience

Whether this is your first retreat or your 80th, the Damayanti provides a nourishing environment for your participants to rest, relax, learn, and integrate their experience. With only seven rooms, you can rent the entire property, and our staff will be fully focused on supporting you in delivering a flawless retreat.

We can partner with you in booking outside excursions and tours as well as onsite ceremonies, blessings, massages, yoga or cooking classes, and anything else you’d like to arrange for your group.

We support you in organizing logistics as well, like transport, and we can hire a local chef for meals onsite or make restaurant recommendations in the area, depending on your group’s needs and catering to all dietary requirements with prior notice.

 modern reverence

Newly Renovated with Intention

The hotel underwent a massive renovation and rebranding in the spring of 2019 with a lot of sweat, reverence, and love. Each room is decorated with antique Balinese and Javanese furniture, art, architectural pieces, and traditional textiles and prints, and many of our rooms are in antique Javanese joglo or gladak houses constructed of teak wood. A stay at the Damayanti combines a reverence for history and the sacred land we live on with thoughtful, luxurious touches that modernize a traditional experience.

In addition to our beautifully appointed rooms, the Damayanti property features several common areas for your group to meet (more on those below), as well as cozy nooks for your guests to have quiet time to journal, meditate, chat, or simply lounge. Ample greenery adds the feeling of a secluded paradise, and our fresh flowers (especially our sacred marigolds) will put a smile on your face.

All of our rooms are equipped with rainshower faucets in the showers, complimentary all-natural toiletries, high speed wifi, an in-room safe, AC & fan, an emergency lamp, and universal outlets with USB ports. You’ll also find a complimentary fruit basket and snacks as well as coffee and tea with a kettle in every room. Most rooms have a special feature, such as a balcony, deck, or inside lounge area, and they feature wardrobes for clothing storage and writing desks.

With only seven rooms on our property, your group will receive lots of personal attention. The Damayanti is staffed by locals who love adding thoughtful touches to your stay, like participating in opening and closing ceremonies, making sure your rooms are clean and cozy, answering questions, and helping you book excursions. We take a lot of pride in the Damayanti and want to give you an authentic, delicious taste of Balinese life.

Common areas

Where the Magic Happens

In addition to our seven luxurious rooms, we offer four common areas where your group can gather to experience the retreat. With a maximum capacity of 10 retreat guests, our intimate common areas are the perfect size for your group to meet.

kitchen

A delicious vegetarian breakfast is included in your stay, with gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options, and you have access to use the communal kitchen if you wish. Your guests can store food in the refrigerator, and we also provide a complimentary fruit basket and snacks as well as coffee and tea with a kettle in every room. 

We can also provide lunch and dinner for an additional cost, catered to your dietary needs.

Additionally, we can organize a Balinese cooking class for your group in the kitchen, and you can enjoy what you make around our beautiful dining table.

yoga shala

Our yoga shala is fully equipped for up to 15 people with mats, bolsters, blocks, straps, blankets, meditation cushions, a bluetooth speaker, an essential oil diffuser, and a dry-erase board.

Let us know if you need additional equipment, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

If you’ve booked the entire retreat center, you have full daytime access to the yoga shala. For partial bookings, you’ll need to reserve blocks of time since other guests will be staying at the hotel.

Meditation + spa room

Our meditation room is equipped for up to 10 people with meditation cushion and one massage table. This room is good for cozy quiet meetings or meditations, or for your retreat guests to book individual massages or spa services.

POOL

Our pool is a great place to lounge or gather as a group to take your sessions outside. Lounge chairs and towels are available poolside. Fresh coconuts can be ordered at an additional charge to enjoy by the water.

Sustainability

We provide complimentary all-natural soap, bug repellent, shampoo, and shower gel, and we use only all-natural, non-toxic cleaning products (even our dish soap!). Linens are changed every 3 days to conserve our precious water supply, and we recycle and limit our use of plastics and other single-use products throughout the property. We’ve installed solar lighting in the garden with plans to add more.

We also give back to the local community by offering free yoga classes to our staff and their families, and are working on launching a local clean water initiative as well as more green projects like composting, an organic garden, and a saltwater pool.

What is included in the cost?

daily breakfast, unlimited coffee/tea/filtered water, welcome drinks and fruit basket, private use of entire property (including fully equipped yoga shala and meditation room), daily housekeeping, all natural soap/shampoo, wifi, floral arrangements for opening/closing ceremonies (max. 2 arrangements).

What is not included?

airport transfers, additional transportation, additional meals, spa services, laundry, tour bookings, speciality non-alcoholic drinks, gratuities ($5/day per person recommended), supplies for your program (i.e. art supplies, copies, or anything from bar/kitchen), government taxes and fees

What is your capacity?

Our property has 7 rooms with a total of 10 beds. Maximum guest sleeping capacity is 17 if beds are shared. If each guest has their own bed, the maximum guest sleeping capacity is 10, including the retreat leader.
